There’re too many achievements in Katrina’s kitty already. She’s bagged the prize of being the actress who inspires most internet downloads. She is an ambassador of a leading jewellery brand. Katrina is also the Indian face of Barbie.

And now according to a recent poll conducted by a website Katrina Kaif has got the hottest butt in the business.

At 24 per cent Kat topped the poll where she was pitted against Jennifer Lopez who came a close second followed by Malaika Arora Khan, Beyonce Knowles, Yana Gupta, Jessica Biel, Mallika Sherawat and Cameron Diaz.

However, when it comes to luscious lips, Katrina had to concede to Priyanka Chopra whose natural pout is as eye-grabbing as Kat’s butt.

Katrina also emerged as the favourite of the voters as the celebrity they want to see as the ambassador of a soft drink.

According to another survey conducted by a popular research agency, Hansa Research revealed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the most powerful female actor racing ahead of the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and even Madhuri Dixit.

This was the first ever extensive research that was conducted of such magnitude to measure Celebrity Power in India; concentrating on different attributes like Popularity, media presence, power of persuasion and image attributes.

This all India research also revealed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is amongst the most persuasive and likeable celebrity in India.

She has also garnered over 98.8% of recognition as well as recall value which is at par with cinematic legends like Amitabh Bachchan and cricketing star Sachin Tendulkar; incidentally she is the only female who is part of the top 10 recognized celebrities from all walks of life.

The survey also divulged that Aishwarya is clearly one of the most popular faces among classes as well as the masses. In an otherwise male dominated society Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has clearly emerged as the woman on top.

Priyanka loves being called the sexiest..

Bollywood Actress Priyanka Chopra says she loves being the centre of the male gaze.

“I love the attention I get. Which girl doesn’t? To be considered hot is …cool! To be called the sexiest, the most desirable, etc in magazine and website polls is very flattering. I take it in my stride.

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and I’m glad a lot of men behold me. There’s no special man to make me feel special. Between my family and career there’s no room for for anyone else.”

Priyanka Chopra is busy playing a dozen desirable divas in the same frame. She has 12 roles to play Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee.

But it was Hurman Baweja who slogged his butt off in the 3-day schedule of the film in Chicago.

Sighs Priyanka Chopra, “It was more masti than work. We chose this time to shoot in Chicago because the script needed snow. And we got it in plenty.

I loooooove the snow. And since I’ve a lot of in family in America I called them over to Chicago. It was more fun than work really.”

Priyanka Chopra loves shooting in the US. “I love going to America. I’ve so much family there. Earlier during Dostana in Philadelphia I had a ball.

Now in Chicago 1-15 people including my Naani, my aunts and my cousins would be on the sets to visit me. And luckily there was very little work for me. It was Hurman’s character which is from Chicago.”

Priyanka Chopra was glad to have this chance to unwind. “I let Hurman do all the slogging. Raashee is a very taxing film for me.

This kind of role has never been done. For the first time in my career I plan to take a two-week holiday after Raashee.”

Bipasha, Kareena, Priyanka are Bollywood’s bikini girls

Not everyone can carry off a bikini well. In Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra are the stars who do it with panache thanks to their attitude and confidence, say fashion experts.

While Kareena wore a lemon bikini for ‘Tashan‘ and became the talk of the town for her size zero, Priyanka slipped into a sexy golden swimsuit for ‘Dostana‘.

‘Kareena and Priyanka carried off their bikini act in their respective movies pretty well because they had the right attitude and confidence to carry off the two-piece with aplomb. They were sure of their bodies as well as the way they were looking on the camera,’ ace photographer Dabboo Ratnani told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

‘Both of them have great bodies and are neither too thin, nor too plump. They have perfect voluptuous bodies which looked perfect in the bikini,’ he added.

According to Mumbai-based celebrity designer Gavin Miguel, Bipasha rocked the big screen when she wore a bikini in ‘Dhoom 2′.

‘Bipasha really took the audience by surprise with her bikini act in the movie. She looked hot, sexy and very confident. The best part about her is that she has got a well-proportioned body and so a two-piece looks good on her,’ said Miguel.

‘Priyanka too has the oomph factor. Even though she is not that tall, the way she looks and carries her swimsuit is commendable. You just can’t take your eyes off her,’ he added.

The two-piece beach wear, which turns 63 this year, was invented by Jacques Heim and Louis Reard in 1946. The designer duo named it after the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands, the site of the atomic bomb testing.

As far as Bollywood is concerned, the bikini has surely come of age over the years with actresses opening up to the idea of wearing sexy swimsuits on screen.

In 1958, Nutan took the Hindi film industry by storm when she wore the swimming costume in ‘Dilli Ka Thug’. Her colleagues like Saira Banu and Vyjayanthimala too scorched the silver screen when they slipped into the costume for ‘April Fool’ and ‘Sangam’ respectively.

Later, Bollywood beauties like Sharmila Tagore, Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi dared to wear the two-piece on screen, but actresses after them shied away from the swimsuit. However, Dimple Kapadia, who slipped into the two-piece for Raj Kapoor’s ‘Bobby’, wore it again for her comeback film ‘Sagar’.

Now, it is no more taboo and actresses like Bipasha, Neha Dhupia, Minissha Lamba and Amisha Patel have carried off tiny two-pieces with confidence.

Miguel also feels these actresses should be applauded as they have overcome the hypocritical mindset of society and proved that even a two-piece suit can be carried with grace if you have the body and confidence.

Ratnani points out that photographers too play a pivotal role in deciding how a bikini looks on a woman.

‘The persons shooting these actresses play a pivotal role because if they don’t bring in their creative aesthetics together to click their pictures, the result could be disastrous. A photographer or a camera person can either make a picture or scene look natural, classy or vulgar,’ Ratnani stressed.

‘Small things like light arrangements, right lenses, background location and camera angles also play an important role in bringing out the best from these beauties,’ he added.

According to photographer Jatin Kampani, there should also be a ‘comfort level’ between the actresses and the camera person shooting her in a swim-suit.

‘While shooting a female in a bikini, one should have a great rapport with that person. She has to share a comfort level with the photographer … only then there would be no inhibitions and she too will be comfortable on screen,’ Kampani explained.

Kampani said that he would never recommend clicking an actress in a bikini if she is not in shape.

‘She will look awful,’ he exclaimed.

Kampani has no Bollywood favourites but says most of them have got great bodies.

‘But the most important factor is how effortlessly they carry their two piece. Not everyone can carry it with aplomb. One has to be comfortable with one’s body; only then things do magic on screen.’

Asin denies having affair with Salman Khan

Bollywood actress Asin Thottumkal has denied having any sort of romantic inclination towards Salman Khan. The Ghajini star added that Salman Khan was her co-star in London Dreams and their relationship was very professional. On the news doing rounds that her bedroom is full of Salman’s posters Asin replied that nobody had access to her bedroom and these news reports are baseless.

Rumours started doing the rounds of the tinsel town about Salman’s linkup with Asin after the two were often seen mingling around on the sets of London Dreams. Reportedly the ad makers of a clothing line which Hrithik Roshan endorses wanted the super star to look fitter and best for an upcoming commercial that’s aimed at the youth.

They are supposedly perfectionists and they went ahead and asked him to get leaner by a few inches and even shed the muscular look which he’s sporting for his home production ‘Kites’.

The buzz is that Hrithik’s dad Rakesh Roshan was not in favour of his son losing any muscle as that extra lean look wouldn’t have suited Hrithik’s character in the upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. He’s about to shoot for that film and papa Roshan knows the best.

But the very professional actor decided to listen to his heart and the ad filmmaker and shed some weight. He actually ended up reducing his waist from 30 inches to 28 inches for the shoot.

Now that’s called dedication. Hrithik Roshan sure has loads of it. No wonder he’s one of the biggies out here.

Kate Moss my inspiration for bikini shoot: Celina

Celina Jaitley says she agreed to pose in a two-piece bikini for a popular film glossy because she was inspired by international supermodel Kate Moss and not to show “how much one can bare”.

“I had seen this fabulous swimwear shoot of one of my favourite models, Kate Moss. I instantly knew that I had to do something on the same lines. I was really inspired and wanted to do a shoot which is quite beautiful and of course very sensuous, ” Celina, who posed in a bikini for Stardust, told.

So is she happy with the final result?

“Oh definitely yes. I’m glad with the way I’ve been presented because not just have the pictures come out really beautiful, even styling wise they are different from the typical dolled-up way that so many of our actresses shoot, ” said Celina, who was last seen in the hit film “Golmaal Returns”.

This isn’t the first time that the name Kate Moss has occurred in reference to Celina. During her modelling days, quite a few members from the industry used to address her as “The Indian Kate Moss”.

Quite a few actresses like Minissha Lamba and Neetu Chandra have shed their inhibitions in front of the camera, especially for photo shoots for numerous fashion and film magazines.

Has Celina also resorted to skin show to enhance her portfolio?

“The only purpose of this shoot was beautiful pictures. That’s it and there is nothing else to it, ” she said.

So how far was the former Miss India willing to go during the bikini shoot?

“My intention was not to portray sexiness or how much can one bare. My intention was to portray the beauty of the ever-changing Indian woman, someone who is beautiful, more modern as well as more comfortable with her sexuality, ” she said.

Asked if she had got the desired impact, Celina said: “Well, the way response has been so far, I guess I have. My intention was to arouse the sensuousness with beauty and dignity and not vulgarity and I have pretty much managed to achieve that.”

Italian filmmaker Italo Spinelli offered Nandana the lead of a tribal woman who’s surreptitiously shot nude by a photographer.

The film is based on Bengali litterateur Mahashweta Devi’s provocative and controversial story Choli Ke Peeche. The role offered to Nandana was pivotal tempting and challenging.

Nandana was sorely tempted. But doing a full-on topless sequence which is a crucial part of the narrative, so soon after Rang Rasiya, was just not on Nandana’s agenda.

She has reluctantly and after much deliberation said No, throwing the whole project to be started later this year, into back gear.

Nandana explains, “It’s a good project directed by Italo Spinelli, produced by RAI, shot by Blasco Giurardo, the cinematographer of Cinema Paradiso.

It’s a powerful story and although I support it fully, I feel the subject matter is such that the tribal girl’s nudity cannot avoid becoming unintentionally voyeuristic and eroticised even though that is definitely not the objective.

If you remember, previously too I passed on various other international projects because of a similar concern.”

Nandana Sen made an exception with Ketan Mehta’s film. “Rang Rasiya focuses on the increasing critical topic of censorship of art. Remember what happened in Jehangir art gallery last month?

Ketan’s film deals entirely with the freedom to paint the human figure in its natural beauty.

The emotional drama as well as the political message of the film revolve around one critical and excessively talked- about scene of Sugandha, the muse, having the courage to break the rules of the time to pose for Ravi Varma (Randeep Hooda) and create a masterpiece of art together.”

But having said this, Nandana says no to nudity, no matter how aesthetic. Could the fact that she intends to tie the knot with steady boyfriend Madhu Mantena have something to do with her decision to forego such a plum assignment?

Bebo in bikini? Saif doesn’t mind!

Saif Ali Khan is pretty cool if his sassy squeeze Kareena Kapoor slips into bikinis for the camera again.

A two-piece outfit can’t cause cracks in Saifeena’s love story. Rumours have been afloat that Saif is upset over Kareena’s skin show in films and that her recent decision to don sarees was a gesture to appease her beau.

But according to the sources close to the couple, nothing could be far from truth than that.

“Saif is a chilled-out person and he doesn’t impose any of his views on Kareena. Do you think the couple would have come this far if that wasn’t the case?” a source questions rhetorically.

And if reports are to go by, Saif doesn’t like interfering in Kareena’s professional decisions either.

So what was all that talk of Kareena refusing to bare her skin to the camera because Saif did not approve of it?

Says the source: “Kareena did not say she would wear only sarees in films. She said she loves to wear sarees at public functions and awards because it’s her personal choice.”

Moreover, another source in a media report goes on to allege that Saif was quite supportive of Kareena when she donned the swimwear while shooting for Kambakkht Ishq in Los Angeles. In fact, whenever Kareena would glam up and appear on the sets, Saif (who flew to LA for a few days during the shoot) would whistle and tease her. Apparently, he still keeps complimenting Bebo on how hot she looked in the lemon bikini in Tashan .
